If you want your book to be promoted as well as published there are two very different options
1) Publishing and promotion
This first is a simple one, in that your book will be promoted on social media and review copies sent out to local, (toyou) press ,a nd some internation dalies. an article will be written abuot your book and circulated and an interview with you will be made and put on our website and made available on Youtube. The cost for that is £270 on top of the standard price.

2) Publishing and promotion and advertising
The gives the author the oppostunity for their book to be on a more equal footing to first novels published by larger traditional publishers
The second one is very different, and involves an advertising campaign for your book; that will be a billboard and bus side and bus stop poster campaign. Authors should understand that the difference between a decent first novel published by a major publisher, and a decent first novel published by a subsidy publisher is advertising (not publicity as there is rarely any for a first novel) The former sells typically a hundred or so copies, the latter sells around 2000. Another advantage a publisher like Penguin has is that they can sometimes get a first novel into a few bookshops- but not always. A small publisher can possibly make up for that advantage by advertising.
Our Publishing and promotion and advertising- option allows an author to put their book on around the same footing as a book published by a larger traditional publisher, and just about break even. The result however is that you will have promoted your book and your name, found readers, and laid the ground for your next book too. This option is not open to everyone, we have to feel that your book is either strong enough, or commercial enough for the author to have at least a chance of getting back what they spend.
