Paul Mc Mahon
I’m an Irish librarian with a special interest in Latin American history, and I have travelled to Cuba, as well as all around Peru and Mexico.
I'm currently writing about Francisco Pizarro and the Incas, and I have recently published a historical fiction book with The Authors Library Press about the story of Hernando Cortés and the conquest of Mexico, called "Montezuma and Cortés."
I studied English Literature, Philosophy, and Psychology in U.C.D., before prioritising a growing interest in history. But my writing was at first autobiographical. I felt it had worth, as I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was seventeen, and the events in the years before and after that were often surreal. I plan to publish a short book on this as well.
